Follow these dos and don’ts after your tattoo eyeliner treatment

Anyone who wants wide-awake, fresh eyes every morning without any hassles or time commitment should go for semi-permanent or tattoo eyeliner makeup treatment. This treatment is the perfect makeup solution that lasts for up to 3 years, thus being a really time-saving and cost-effective investment!

As this procedure is non-invasive, you might feel a little sore after the treatment. To aid your healing, the following is recommended.

Do apply ice

Following your treatment, you might not feel any swelling. However, if you do feel some light swelling then you can place some ice wrapped up in a soft cloth around your eye area for around 10 minutes. Depending on how you feel, you can repeat it every hour if you wish.

Do take some time off

After you are done with it, do take some time off to rest. Let it get adjusted nicely to your eye area and then resume working. When you relax for the rest of the day, it manages any sort of soreness easily, helping your eyes to heal faster.

Do go for the top-up session

The ‘top-up’ session is done 6-8 weeks after your procedure and there are usually no additional charges for it. It is done to provide your skin with some time to fully digest the pigment. When the follow-up is done, extra color can be applied to anywhere where the pigment hasn’t fully taken place.

Don’t use a mascara

You should start using a new tube when you feel like you are ready for applying mascara again. However, it is strongly recommended not to use any makeup on your eye area for the first 4 to 5 days after the procedure. After 5 days, your eyes will get adjusted to the semi-permanent eyeliner treatment and you can safely apply makeup again without any risks. Make sure you go to only a professional and trustworthy team of cosmetic specialists to do the treatment!
